For the last three Christmases, I have made pfeffernusse cookies. Here, Mo is helping me pat the dough into a cake pan to be chilled. My grandmother used to make them and mail them to us. They were my dad’s favorite. The year she passed from breast cancer, I discreetly got the recipe from my mom. I gave the cookies to my dad as a wrapped Christmas gift. When he opened them, he started to cry. He hugged me and said, “Thank you! I was just thinking about how I wasn’t going to get any of these this year.”
Morgana and I went to knit meeting and Nana and Papa’s yesterday. I started knitting this Infinitude scarf (found on Ravelry) for a secret recipient. For my new readers here at WordPress. I have made two cables for my Knit Picks interchangeable needles from weed wacker cord. Works great and self threads as it screws right in! I needed a 42″ cable for something I wanted to knit and did not have the means to buy one.
